Build your list

Answer a few honest questions about the trip, who’s coming, and your destination’s season. The list adjusts quantities per traveler, adds a Health & Comfort or Pet Essentials section when relevant, and layers in destination-specific notes.

Choose a trip type on the left and hit “Generate my packing list.” Every list is grouped by category and adjusts automatically for who’s actually going — including Health & Comfort and Pet Essentials sections when they apply. You can add your own items once the list appears.

Packing questions, answered

Start from a category system — documents, clothing, toiletries, tech, extras — instead of a blank page. Fix your trip length, traveler count, and laundry plan first, since those control how many clothing items you actually need. This tool builds that structure for you automatically, and lets you add anything it missed.

Keep medication, chargers, one change of clothes, and anything irreplaceable in your carry-on in case checked luggage is delayed. See our full carry-on packing list guide for TSA-sized liquids and what never to check.

Add passport copies, plug adapters, a card with no foreign transaction fees, and any destination-specific documents. Pick a specific destination and season above to add these automatically.

Pack more menstrual products than you think you’ll need, a backup pair of underwear, pain relief, and a small sealable pouch for discreet disposal — cycles can shift a few days earlier or later with travel stress and time-zone changes. Toggle “Might get my period on this trip” above to add these automatically.

Keep all medication in your carry-on in original packaging with a copy of your prescription, pack a few extra days’ supply in case of delays, and consider medical ID that’s visible or set up on your phone’s lock screen. Pregnant travelers should add compression socks, a supportive belly band, and — for third-trimester flights — a doctor’s note some airlines request.

Beyond food and a leash, bring current vaccination records (many airlines and borders require them), a familiar blanket or toy to reduce stress, collapsible food and water bowls, and waste bags. Set “Pets” above to 1 or more to add a full Pet Essentials section.

Overpacking is almost always “what if” thinking — packing for scenarios that are unlikely and easy to solve on the ground. Toggle “I’ll do laundry there” to cut clothing volume automatically, and trust that most items are buyable at your destination.

Yes — add your own items with the “Add your own item” box once your list is generated, then download it as a text file, print it, or use “Copy list” to paste it into Notes, WhatsApp, or an email so a travel partner can pack against the same list.
